There are many many websites which are running all over world via Internet. These sites are run by different Web Servers (Web server can refer to either the hardware (the computer) or the software (the computer application) that helps to deliver content that can be accessed through the Internet). Sometimes these Web servers are down, or made down, yes they are made down by some script kiddies or any other using Dos or D-Dos. So, if a server is made down then all webpages/websites hosted on that server are also get down.So you have surely heard about hacking news like Hackers bring down official website of Mr X, Y Company's website goes down, etc. You can check these site by yourself whether it's really down or not. You can check website's status using different means. I have provided some tools which can easily tell you whether a site is up or down?

- Down or Not- This is a pretty cool website which can easily help you to determine about the status of a site. The only thing you have to do is visit this site i.e, Down or Not, paste the link in the box and then hit enter.

- Down For Everyone Or Just Me- This is also an awesome website, using this you can know whether the site is up or down and also if you can't open that site in your browser, then you can also check their that if it's only down for you or all. Procedure for checking status is same as I discussed above just enter the URL then hit Enter.
